Half-Day Wine Tours

This is the ideal way to discover the area. Depending upon where you are staying, we will pick you up, and then make our first stop where you will get a brief history of the Languedoc. We’ll also talk wine, from the first beginnings through to the present day. Don’t worry: there are no long, dry monologues, it’s all about you asking questions, and sending us off on all sorts of tangents. The trip will also include a vineyard walk, a winery visit, where we’ll learn about all the processes which turn grape juice into wine, and of course, a generous tasting of whites, reds and rosés accompanied by some tasty Mediterranean tapas. You will then be dropped off back at your base.

A really packed programme for this tour. An early start at around 9am, to be able to get to the Thau lagoon, where we’ll get an absolutely fascinating tour of an oyster and mussel producer. We can promise you that you will be astonished! This is rounded off by a tasting of the freshest oysters and mussels that you will ever taste, washed down by a glass or two of the local Picpoul de Pinet white wine, the ideal accompaniment to seafood. The tour then follows the half-day wine tour (see above), so you will have earned a lazy afternoon by the time that we drop you off.
