Languedoc Wine Tours
Tour Schedule Week Commencing 15th September 2008*
Oysters and Picpoul de Pinet €65
Pick up between 8.30am and 9.15am. We will then visit a seafood producer on the banks of the beautiful Etang de Thau. Here we will discover exactly how seafood such as mussels and in particular, oysters are bred, harvested and commercialised. We will end the visit with a tasting of extra-fresh seafood.
We will then have lunch in a restaurant on the banks of the lagoon, looking across to the Mont St. Claire which dominates Sète.
After lunch we will visit one of the very best producers of Picpoul de Pinet. Here we will try not just the white wines, but also some excellent rosé and red wines.
Drop off between 5pm and 6pm.
Tuesday 16th September.
Blanquette de Limoux and the Minervois €75
Pick up between 8.15am and 9am. We will then head for Limoux where they claim to make the world's oldest sparkling wine. Here we will visit a producer and of course, taste the famous bubbles.
We will then head for the Minervois, where we will have lunch in a lovely restaurant. After lunch, we will wander over the road to one of the best wine producers in the area, where we will be able to taste the wonderful local Muscat, and also some award-winning red wines.
Drop off between 5pm and 6pm.
